How to play

Find a calm place where everyone can see the book or the reader.

Introduce the title and ask the children what they think the story might be about.

Read aloud and pause briefly at important choices or surprises.

Ask each child which scene or character they remember best.
Variations
- Let the children draw one scene while listening or afterwards.
- Share short lines between older children who want to read.
- Stop before the ending and invent a group ending before reading the original one.
Tip
Read an unfamiliar story in advance so you can adapt difficult or frightening passages to the group.
